Is the process of locating the separated pieces of progams (store on your hard disk)and order them together in the same column, making the computer going faster. There are some operative systems such as linux or mac that dont need defragmentation, but there are others for example Windows that need defracmentation .You should make defragmentation every 3 or 4 years for making your computer going faster.In the following picture you can see two lines, in the first one is all in the same colour and these represents that is the same program so the computer it would go faster.In the second we can see more than one color and a lot of gaps these means that all the programs are mix so the computer would go slow so in these case you need defragmentation for making your compueter going faster.
